1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
We have so much to be thankful for everyday the Lord wakes us up. The scripture tells us that we must give thanks in all things, meaning whether good or bad.
Many of us have allowed our problems and the problems we see around us to cause us to be ungrateful to the Lord. Meanwhile, there are so many things that He has done for us and continues to do for us.
The free oxygen that we are breathing is gifted to us by Him, the provisions that we have is given to us by Him, the shelter that we have is given to us by him, and etc.
Think about that headache you had last week, someone had the same headache and it killed them, but you lived through it and are here today. Do you remember the last time you forgot something and told your family or your friends, “I will be right back let me run out quickly”?
Do you know how many people left like that and never returned back home because they were killed in a car accident or by something else out there? But as for you and I, God has kept us through it all, even when we were not deserving.
So please, today and everyday, let us give thanks to God always through the good and the bad, for we know through the scripture that, it is the will of God for our lives. May the Lord grant us a grateful heart and spirit in Jesus name. Amen.
