**Luke 14:26-33
What did Jesus mean by if you can’t forsake all you can’t be my disciple (v.33)? He wanted to emphasize that we must let it all go and look to Him.
Sometimes we think of forsaken all as tangible things that we see or for some they think of forsaking all meaning you will be destitute and in need.
Forsaking all goes deeper than the surface. It involves our mind, our hearts, the things unseen and the things seen.
Forsaking all means letting go of your control and letting God have control. Dropping that will of yours and taking up the will of God.
It will require focus, total dependence, trust and obedience in the Lord. The struggle may be real at some points but know that the Lord will see you through and His peace which transcends all understanding will be your portion.
May God help us on this day to count our cost. Amen
